This character comes from The Tawny Man Trilogy by Robin Hobb. I don't like this woman at all, still I wanted to do a character design for her. She is a very important person in these books, and I've discovered that it can be fun to draw evil characters as well.
Drawn completely with pencil, I hope you like and leave a comment!
Very nice interpretation of a rarely portrayed character. I like the design of her dress, particularly the neckline and shoulders. Nice strong pose. Good work.
Thank you very much. ^__^ I can understand that not many would want to draw her..She's not very popular after all, but in fact she was a very interesting character to draw. Maybe I'll make some more pictures of her, we'll see. I'm happy you like her outfit, it was fun to do. I felt that pose suited her, happy to know you think so too. Thanks again!
So true ^__^ Thanks, I'm working on a couple of pics right now, can't say when they'll be finished though, we'll see. But it won't take too long I'm sure
Cool! She looks really evil and powerful! I especially like the design of her dress and hair, it fits her personality. It would be nice to see it in colour!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

The photonotes.org Dictionary of Film and Digital Photography is one place to stop and get it all answered. This is quite a valuable resource that explains in depth what a photography term means, and will help those understand who might not know what something is.
